How Much Does Professional Video Production Cost in 2026?

One of the questions we're asked more than any other is: "How much is it going to cost?"
It's a sensible question, but unfortunately there isn't a straightforward answer because no two video projects are the same. A customer testimonial filmed in your office has very different requirements to a brand message video, a podcast series or a conference filmed over several days. They're all videos, but they're trying to achieve different things: the time, planning and production involved varies, too.
So, rather than giving a one-size-fits-all price, we'd rather explain what goes into creating a professional business video and what you're actually investing in.
It's About More Than Filming
Many people imagine that the majority of the work happens on filming day. While that's certainly an important part of the process, it's only one piece of the puzzle.
Long before the cameras come out, we're thinking about the purpose of the video:
Who is it aimed at?
What message does it need to communicate?
Where will people watch it?
What action do we want them to take afterwards?
The answers to these questions influence every creative decision that follows. A beautifully filmed video is nice. A beautifully filmed video that actually helps your business achieve its goals is even better. That's why we spend so much time planning before the cameras come out.
Filming Is Just One Part of the Process

On filming day, our focus is on capturing everything needed to tell your story. That means not only the obvious interviews or presentations, but also the supporting footage that helps illustrate what you're saying. We spend a lot of time helping contributors feel comfortable on camera too, because the most convincing videos are rarely the ones that feel scripted.
The size of the production depends entirely on the project. Sometimes one videographer is all that's needed. Other times we'll recommend a second camera operator, additional lighting or specialist equipment such as drones to make sure we capture everything properly.
Professional cameras and equipment certainly play a part, but k nowing how to light an interview, ask the right questions, adapt when plans change and spot those authentic moments all contribute to the quality of the finished video.
Editing Is Where Your Investment Starts to Pay Off
This is the stage when hundreds of individual clips are transformed into a story that's clear, engaging and focused on the people you want to reach. We review every interview, choose the strongest soundbites, select the best supporting visuals and carefully shape a narrative that keeps viewers engaged from beginning to end.
From there, we refine the pacing, balance the audio, colour grade the footage, add music, graphics and captions, and prepare the final versions for wherever the video will be used—whether that's your website, LinkedIn, YouTube or other social media platforms.
It's often the longest stage of the project because every small decision contributes to the overall quality and effectiveness of the finished film.

Why Do Video Prices Vary So Much?
If you've requested quotes from several production companies, you've probably noticed they can vary dramatically. That isn't because one company is overcharging or another is undercharging. More often than not, they're simply offering different levels of service.
Some videographers will arrive, film what you've asked for and deliver an edit. Others will help shape your messaging, advise on strategy, manage the project from start to finish and create a video designed to achieve a specific business objective.
Neither approach is inherently right or wrong, but it's important to compare what's actually included rather than looking at the headline price alone.
How We Price Our Projects
At Digital Leopard, we keep our pricing as transparent as possible by working on day rates rather than fixed packages.
Our current rates for 2026 are:
Filming: £650 + VAT per full day
Editing: £450 + VAT per day
This means you only pay for the amount of filming and editing your project genuinely requires. Once we've discussed your objectives, we'll recommend the most appropriate approach and provide a fixed quotation before any work begins. No hidden extras. No confusing packages. Just clear pricing based on the work involved.
So... What Will Your Video Cost?
It depends on what you're trying to achieve.
A straightforward testimonial video will naturally require less time than a multi-location brand message video with several deliverables. Likewise, an event that produces a highlights film, speaker edits and social media cuts involves a very different workflow to a single interview.
Rather than trying to squeeze every project into a standard package, we build a quotation around your goals, your audience and the content you actually need. That way, you're investing in a solution that's designed to work for your business—not paying for things you don't need.
Think Investment, Not Expense
A good business video can help generate enquiries, support your sales team, improve recruitment, answer frequently asked questions and build trust with potential customers for years to come.
When approached strategically, it's one of the hardest-working marketing assets your business can own. That's why we don't focus on creating videos that simply look good. We focus on creating videos that work.
Every business is different, which is why we don't believe in one-size-fits-all quotes. We'll take the time to understand what you're trying to achieve, recommend the most effective approach, and provide a clear, transparent quotation with no hidden costs.
